En Diario de un viejo loco Utsugi, un hombre de setenta y siete años que se sabe en los últimos meses de su vida, habla de su apasionada obsesión por Satsuko, la atractiva mujer de su hijo. Sin duda esta pasión tendrá fatales consecuencias.
